Is Mindfulness passive?
Mindfulness can be defined as kind, non-judgemental awareness and presence with what is happening, what is here - the sights, sounds, feelings, sensations, etc. This presence is developed in meditation and other training. This practice, this presence, allows us to then act in the most appropriate way for any current situation, in the moment. So mindfulness is not exclusively about inaction (just sitting on a cushion) or passivity. If what is happening calls for our action, our developed mindful presence will serve us well in that situation.

The Geodesic Dome and Osteopathy
Tensegrity, or Tensional Integrity, wherein some parts of a system are rigid, while other parts are elastic, and they exist in balance. This is demonstrated in Buckminster Fuller's geodesic dome, and in many other modern structures. In a system based on tensegrity, any increased load to a section of the system is distributed evenly in the whole system, thus reducing its impact on any one part. The human body, to the cellular level, is also an example of a tensegrity system.

What is Osteopathy?
Osteopathy is a holistic approach to healthcare that focuses on the interconnected nature of the human body. It emphasizes the body's innate ability to heal itself and seeks to restore balance through a variety of techniques, including manual therapies, nutritional counseling, and lifestyle modifications. At its core, osteopathy embraces the concept of tensegrity, a structural principle found in both engineering and biology, which involves the balance of compression and tension elements within a system.
